Our vision and strategy

As a partnership, we have committed to embedding shared values of:

  • being survivor-centred and survivor-led
  • increasing early intervention and prevention
  • taking a strengths-based approach
  • understanding intersectionality
  • upholding perpetrator accountability
  • ensuring a robust partnership response

Our vision is for Birmingham to be a place where:

  • domestic abuse is not tolerated
  • everyone can expect equality and respect in their relationships
  • everyone can live free from domestic abuse

The Birmingham Domestic Abuse Prevention Strategy 2024+ will be published soon. A joint action plan is also being developed to help all partners deliver on this strategy throughout the next 5 years.
