Winson Green Road - Heath Street
Work on this phase of construction started in November 2022 and was completed in summer 2024.
The works include:
- upgrading facilities for pedestrians and cyclists with the introduction of sections of segregated cycleway as well as shared-use pedestrian/cycle footway
- reducing traffic congestion with the introduction of waiting and loading restrictions around junctions and on lengths of Heath Street and Winson Green Road
- improving the signalised Winson Green Road/Heath Street junction
- landscape enhancements with new tree and shrub planting
