What you can expect from us

- Staff in uniform, so you can recognise teachers and lifeguards

What we can expect from you
- Be on time. Make sure you are on poolside no more than 2 minutes before your lesson
- Do not eat for at least 1 hour before you swim
- Shower and go to the toilet before you swim
- Change in the changing rooms, leave clothes securely in the lockers where provided and collect all your belongings when leaving
- Wear suitable swimwear, designed for indoor pool use (shorts above the knee with lining, no denim, no bikinis)
- Arrive for your lesson ready to get into the water if possible
- Remove all jewellery
- When on poolside, be as quiet as possible and sit or stand still. No running
- Listen to the teacher’s instructions
- Tell your teacher if you are worried about your lesson, especially if you have just moved up to a new group
- Tie back any long hair or wear a swimming cap
- Be caring to other members of your group
- Where available, parents are welcome to spectate but without interrupting the lesson
- There must be no recording, filming or photographic equipment including mobile phones with camera facilities used within the building
- No outdoor footwear on poolside
- Customers should inform us at the time of booking of any health issues/medical conditions that may be relevant. In the instance of sickness and diarrhoea, the child must have been clear of all symptoms for at least 48 hours
- If you require a drink for your lesson, bring in a non-glass drinking bottle
- Children aged under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult into the changing room and taken to the teacher on the poolside, and must not be left unattended
