Networks and Support
West Midlands Net Zero Business Pledge
This scheme, run by the West Midlands Combined Authority, provides free advice for businesses on how to reduce their emissions, save costs, and prepare for the impacts of climate change.
A not-for-profit organisation which works with private, public, and third sector partners across the West Midlands. Sustainability West Midlands organises networks which share case studies and good practice, provides support for net zero ambitions, shares independent research and advice, and helps businesses develop and improve sustainability action plans.
BVSC Environment and Energy Network
A network for climate change related community groups which meets monthly via teams. BVSC provide a useful breakdown of recent environmental policy and links to relevant consultations, whilst highlighting grant opportunities, hosting guest speakers, and providing an opportunity for networking between community groups.
Guidance Toolkit on Building Retrofit
A toolkit created to make net zero carbon or low carbon retrofit more accessible, intended for building professionals (developers, contractors, architects and engineers), planning professionals, and other housing professionals.

Business Energy Efficiency Grant Programme
A council grants to lessen the impact of energy cost rises and support their transition to net zero by providing energy assessments and grants for the energy solutions identified.
Funded Net Zero Support for Council Suppliers
A free support for council suppliers to develop de-carbonisation plans, save energy, and be bid ready for grant opportunities. A mix of 1-1 support and group sessions are available through the programme to help suppliers start the journey to sustainability.
Circular Economy Support for Birmingham and Solihull SMEs
Free support to help businesses save costs and carbon by improving their resource efficiency. Expert advisors are available to give personalised recommendations on how to efficiently manage waste and resources, and ensure environmental compliance.
A directory of local, national, and global funding grants and initiatives for industry research and development. Their regular newsletter provides information on upcoming grants which can often have short windows of application.
