Deep dives
Each year, the Evidence Team undertakes a series of deep dives into health and wellbeing inequalities that affect specific communities within Birmingham.
These deep dive topics are selected by the Health and Wellbeing Board.
The deep dives are ‘in-depth needs assessments’, which combine researching published evidence with capturing citizens voices, to draw out recommendations for action.
Published deep dives
- Health and Wellbeing of Veterans - 2021
- End of Life - 2022
- Learning Disabilities - 2024 (easy-read version available)
Deep dives in progress
- Dual Diagnosis (Substance Use and Mental Health)
- Mobility Impairment
- Neurodiversity
- Work and Worklessness
We would be interested to hear from anyone who would like to contribute towards any of the deep dives that are currently in progress.
