Equality, diversity and fizzy drinks

This week of Fizz Free February will focus on inequality and diversity. Fizzy drinks have an impact on almost all aspects of our lives and for many the impact is more significant, particularly on those within poverty, inequality, and diversity.

Birmingham is a truly diverse in so many ways, which creates a city of culture and uniqueness. Our city thrives from this diversity however it can also create inequality and different outcomes in different communities across the city.

We have put together a slide set of facts to help understand and explore the connection between fizzy drinks, inequality, and diversity.

We know that’s not always easy to engage children with this kind of campaign so we’ve created some additional resources to help parents, grandparents, teachers and carers get children involved in going fizz free this month and this week they have a diversity theme, with some maths puzzles for slightly older children.
