Rhythm and Rhyme
Rhythm and Rhyme sessions are taking place at libraries across Birmingham, where babies and toddlers can bring their carers along for some musical fun! Clapping, stamping and simply moving in time with the rhythm, helps to develop your baby's co-ordination and self-esteem.
Singing nursery rhymes together develops your child's social skills and introduces the basic rules of turn-taking and conversation. Over time, your baby will recognise familiar rhymes and try to copy the sounds that they hear.
Using instruments that even the smallest hands can grasp and shake with confidence, babies can begin to identify the pulse and rhythm of language.
