What is the Children’s University?
The Children’s University is a national scheme to improve standards of education, and recognises that not all learning takes place in school. The aim is to increase participation of children aged 5 to 14 years in quality out of school hours learning at a network of ‘learning destinations’. Learning Destinations provide validated high quality learning activities and experiences with a 'wow' factor.
All Birmingham libraries including the Library of Birmingham are Learning Destinations. Children can use their Passport To Learning to ‘travel’ to Birmingham libraries and other organisations partnered with the Children’s University.
