Packing and exporting food
Pre-packed for direct sale (PPDS) food
From 1 October 2021, the requirements for PPDS food labelling changed in Wales, England, and Northern Ireland.
Also known as Natasha's Law, this labelling helps to protect consumers by providing potentially life-saving allergen information on the packaging.
Many businesses, including restaurants and takeaways, currently provide PPDS food, even though they are in small amounts such as pots of sauce, sandwiches and cakes.
You can read an introduction to allergen labelling changes for PPDS.
