Phone scams

  • Do not feel pressured into making a decision over the phone. It’s okay to say “no”.
  • Never give out personal or bank details out over the phone.
  • Contact is often unexpected and out of the blue; scammers are persistent but friendly.
  • Hang up if a caller is vague about their company information.
  • Do not pay in advance for goods in response to unexpected phone call.
  • If you receive a lot of phone calls, consider a call blocker to filter out unwanted calls.
