Druids Heath community charter
About the charter
We have drafted a community charter to help the Druids Heath community understand what their rights are and how we want to engage with the community throughout the regeneration project.
A community charter is standard practice in any large regeneration project and is designed to give residents assurance around what they are entitled to.
The document sets out the council's offer and commitments to the Druids Heath community to give all stakeholders an opportunity to engage and are fully included in the process.
The charter sets out:
- what the regeneration will set out to achieve for Druids Heath based on initial consultation with the community over the last 2 years
- how the council will engage and listen to the community throughout the course of the regeneration scheme, taking into consideration this hasn’t always happened in the right way in the past
- a summary of what the Council has learnt over the last few years through previous engagement with the community
- the different offers provided to the community based on the type of home that they live in, or whether they own businesses or work in community services
- details of the team supporting the regeneration scheme and where members of the community can go to for support.
Your feedback
In March 2024 we asked the community for feedback about our draft Druids Heath Community Charter.
You can find the changes in our final charter alongside a 'You Said We Did' document, which outlines the changes that we made after community consultation.
