Certificate processing times
Standard certificates are being despatched in around six to eight weeks from the time of application, based on demand.
If you need a certificate urgently, you should use our priority service. Most priority orders are posted within 48 hours, but this is not guaranteed.
You cannot apply for, or collect, a certificate in person. Orders can only be made online or by post. All orders will be sent using Royal Mail.

Festive period postal times
Due to the closure of the Birmingham Mail Centre over the festive period, we will be unable to post orders made after 1:00pm on Monday 23 December.
All priority orders made after this time will be posted on Thursday 2 January 2025. Standard orders will be posted in-line with our current certificate processing timescales.
