Senior Inclusive Growth acting up appointments announced
Birmingham City Council has announced two senior acting up appointments within its Inclusive Growth directorate.
Assistant Director for Planning Ian MacLeod will become Acting Director, Inclusive Growth, following the departure of Waheed Nazir.
Head of City Design Simon Delahunty-Forrest will become Acting Assistant Director, Development, following the departure of current postholder Richard Cowell.
Councillor Ian Ward, Leader of Birmingham City Council, said: “Birmingham is a rapidly transforming city as an increasing number of people choose to live, work and set up business here.
“With a number of major development projects either under way or in the pipeline, I am delighted that Ian has been appointed to oversee this exciting period of transformation for our great city, bringing his significant experience and expertise to this hugely important role.
“Ian will be ably supported by Simon in his new role as Acting Assistant Director for Development, again continuing to build on the strong foundations already laid within the Inclusive Growth directorate.”
