Perry Barr highways scheme consultation extended

Published: Monday, 24th June 2019

A consultation into planned highway infrastructure improvements in Perry Barr has been extended by two weeks.

The consultation into the £27.1 million project – which would include the removal of the A34 flyover, the retention of the A34 underpass and the replacement of the A34/A4040 roundabout with a four-arm signal junction – was originally due to close on July 19 but will now remain open until Friday, 2 August.

There will also be an additional public drop-in session for people to view plans and speak to the project team, taking place at the Doug Ellis Sports Centre, in Wellhead Lane, Perry Barr, on Tuesday, 16 July, from 3pm to 7pm.

The simplest way for people to take part in the consultation is via the council’s Birmingham Be Heard consultation website.

Those unable to access the internet can view printed plans and pick up a paper questionnaire at the following libraries: The Library of Birmingham, Aston Library, Birchfield Library and Hamstead Library (Sandwell).
