Enablement service redesign business case withdrawn

A report on the council's Enablement Service went before Cabinet today (22 May), with members agreeing a series of recommendations including the withdrawal of a business case to redesign the service.

The following is a joint statement from UNISON and Birmingham City Council:

“UNISON and Birmingham City Council are pleased that this dispute has now come to a conclusion both parties are happy with. 

"Collectively we are committed to working to repair industrial relations, working constructively to improve the in-house homecare service and to delivering high quality services to the people of Birmingham.”
