Refuse collection update - 5 January 2018
The following is an update on the recovery plan to catch up with recent missed bin collections in the city:
Cllr Lisa Trickett, Cabinet Member for Clean Streets, Recycling and Environment, said: “I am very aware of the delay to collections which members of the public have been suffering over the last three weeks. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience and be reassured we are doing everything we can to get things back to normal.
“To achieve this, crews will be working on both Saturday and Sunday (January 6-7), visiting parts of the city where we have had ‘whole road’ missed collections.
“Our advice to affected households is to leave out any uncollected bins (household waste and recycling) over Friday, Saturday and Sunday so they can be picked up.”
