Bin collections - 12 December 2017
The following is a statement on plans for Birmingham's refuse collection service tomorrow (Tuesday 12 December 2017) as the adverse weather is forecast to continue.
Jacqui Kennedy, Corporate Director for Place at Birmingham City Council, said:
“As conditions on main roads in particular have improved, we will be in a position to offer a limited refuse collection service tomorrow (Tuesday 12 December). The plan for the missed collections today (Monday) and anything we may be unable to do tomorrow is being finalised and we will of course communicate that once agreed.
“I know this will be frustrating for citizens but the safe operation of our wagons for the public and the crews must always come first.
“I would also urge citizens to take care when handling their bins as footpaths could still be very slippery.”
