Five ways to wellbeing
Keep learning
Learning something new is a great way to build your sense of achievement as well as keeping your brain active and stimulated which has been shown to reduce the risk of dementia in later life.
Get active
Being active every day is not just good for your physical health, it’s also really important for your mental health. Even just 10 minutes a day of brisk walking has been shown to significantly reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Contribute and give
Whether you give someone a smile or a thank you, the research shows this often gives your health more benefit than theirs! Whether you contribute through volunteering or donation, giving something to your community is a great way to invest in your own wellbeing.
Be mindful and curious
Be aware, mindful and curious about things around you. For some people, mindful meditation can help; for others it's about being more curious and exploring during the day.
Connect
Connect with friends, family and the people around you.
