Do you want your school to be included?
The application round has now closed. We are not currently reviewing any new Car Free School Streets expressions of interest.
This part-time closure of streets to traffic is not appropriate for all schools. A selection process is used to assess the suitability of any schools interested in participating in this scheme and to prioritise those to be included.
If your school would like to be considered as part of a future phase, read:
- how schools are selected to check that your school would be a suitable location for the scheme
- the memorandum of understanding

All schools in Birmingham are also able to join the Modeshift STARS scheme. This scheme offers support and rewards to schools for taking steps to promote safer, greener and healthier travel.
