If you, or someone you know, needs help maintaining a day-to-day routine, you can complete a free, council care needs assessment.

You can ask for an assessment yourself, or a family member or your GP can ask for one for you.

Occupational therapy
You are entitled to a free occupational therapy assessment.
Occupational therapy can give you the tools you need to complete normal, daily tasks that used to come easily to you.
An occupational therapy assessment can help decide the best support to meet your needs, and can help you stay independent for longer.

Technology enabled care (TEC)
Technology Enabled Care (TEC) is available to support you with day-to-day activities, increasing your safety and quality of life.
You can use technology to help in a variety of ways, such as:
- helping with everyday tasks and activities to keep your independence
- helping you stay safe at home
- helping you stay active and involved
- monitoring your health
Technology used in this way is known as assistive technology.
Some technology can also help other people to support you.
