About the Birmingham Food Legends fund
To celebrate the ongoing work of the Birmingham Food Revolution in 2025, we are running a second round of the Birmingham Food Legends fund.
This is a grant scheme to support initiatives which fit into our vision of creating a fair, sustainable and prosperous food system and economy, where food options are nutritious, affordable and desirable so everyone can thrive.
Grants of up to £5,000 will be available. We may accept applications above £5,000 if the proposal will have a significant impact on the Birmingham food system.
We will accept applications from not-for-profit organisations whose on the ground work or activities are based in the Birmingham local authority area. These are organisations such as community groups, Community Interest Companies, charitable organisations, schools, and other organisations in the food sector.
Private companies and sole traders are not eligible for this grant.
We are looking for specific, actionable and timely proposals which, if funded, can move at pace to start work on their proposed projects by the end of March.
