Oral history projects

We have carried out a number of oral history projects to capture personal experiences from our home services readers. We are making them available online, and you can read the transcriptions:

• Ireland in Brum
  Interviews from customers who grew up in Ireland and moved to England, particularly to Birmingham.
• Memories from the Islands
  Interviews from customers who grew up in the Caribbean and moved to England.
• Memories of war
  Interviews from customers who had served in the armed forces during World War Two.
