CDs
The CD collection covers every genre of music including rock, pop, soul, reggae, jazz, folk, country, classical, easy listening and world music.
There is a wide back catalogue of specialist recordings. CDs are available at Community Libraries. For more information, check the Library catalogue.
You may borrow up to 8 CDs for a period of 14 days, charges apply.
It is possible to renew items up to 3 times, providing there are no reservations and will incur a further hire charge.
DVDs
Our selection of film and television DVDs range from Literature, Nostalgia, Silent Cinema, an extensive World Cinema collection to family films and Musicals.

You may borrow up to 5 DVDs for a period of 7 days. Charges apply to most DVDs borrowed.

Audiobooks
There is a substantial collection of fiction, nonfiction, classics, humour and more in CD and Playaway formats covering reading material for all tastes for you to borrow.
Playaways are small pre-loaded portable media players that require one AAA battery and headphones to use. Lightweight to carry and easy to use they are perfect for travelling.
All Birmingham community libraries have audiobooks. They also have MP3 CDs available to borrow, these are a single CD that you download onto your MP3 device via your PC. These items count as one of your book allowance and are borrowed for a period of 28 days. Charges may apply.

Printed music scores
We have a huge selection of scores that you can borrow for every instrument, vocal scores, study scores, contemporary scores and early music scores.
These items count as one of your book allowance and are borrowed for a period of 28 days.
