The Library of Birmingham is a centre of excellence for knowledge and discovery for all ages. We offer a vast collection of resources, covering every topic under the sun. Laid end-to-end, the book collection alone would stretch from Birmingham to Edinburgh!

Our most popular books and resources are available on the shelves in the public areas for you to choose from. There is much more in the Library’s storage areas (around 60% of our stock) – just ask if you can’t find what you want. To avoid waiting, contact us before your visit and we can tell you when the item will be available.
