Ward Forum Meetings
Each ward has a Ward Forum. The ward’s Councillors sit on the forum.
Ward Forum meetings focus on the issues, priorities and decisions important to people in their local area. They are one way you can get involved in the decisions that affect your neighbourhood.
You are welcome to go along to your local Ward Forum meetings.

Ward Forum meetings:
- allow comments to be made on behalf of ward residents on significant planning applications which affect the ward
- enable community engagement, debate and action by coordinating the work of councillors with neighbourhood forums, residents’ associations and neighbourhood, community or parish councils
- enable work with other wards to engage with partners, such as the police
- support the development and delivery of the Ward Action Plan
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Ward Forum meetings were held virtually to ensure dialogue and engagement continued between the Council, residents and stakeholders within Birmingham.
Ward Forum meetings can now take place in person or virtually over Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
The recordings of online meetings have been uploaded to YouTube and can be found on the Neighbourhood Development and Support Unit (NDSU) YouTube channel.
You can search for your ward and see others that have taken place.
The recordings can also be accessed on the relevant meeting using the Council’s Committee Management Information System (CMIS).
In the future, meetings done virtually will be uploaded to YouTube as soon as possible after the meeting has finished.
