The Environment Agency has co-ordinated the preparation of the draft FRMPs with draft RBMPs for both managing flood risk and the water environment. Find out more about FRMPs and RBMPs

Draft Flood Risk Management Plans (FRMP)

  • A 3-month public consultation on draft Flood Risk Management Plans is taking place from 22 October 2021 to 21 January 2022.
  • The draft FRMPs are strategic plans that have actions to address surface water and river and sea flooding.
  • The Environment Agency has worked with Lead Local Flood Authorities and other Risk Management Authorities to produce them.

We invite you to submit your views on the draft FRMPs on the Environment Agency’s online consultation hub before 21 January 2022.

Draft River Basin Management Plans (RBMP)

  • A 6-month public consultation on draft River Basin Management Plans will take place from 22 October 2021 to 22 April 2022.
  • The draft RBMPs are strategic plans for protecting and improving the water environment.
