Local Government Elections 3 May 2018
Check if your ward and polling station has changed here
On Thursday 3 May 2018, the city will vote on councillors to represent them on the City Council, and electors in Sutton Coldfield and Frankley will have the opportunity to vote for Town and Parish councillors as well.
All electors who are eligible to vote on Thursday 3 May should receive their polling card by the end of March. If you have not received anything by Tuesday 3 April, you can contact the elections office helpline to check your registration status. The helpline number is 0121 303 2731.
If you are unable to attend the polling station on Thursday 3 May (the hours of poll are 7am until 10pm), then you can apply for a postal or a proxy vote. You can find more information on our webpages.
If you are interested in standing as a candidate at the elections, you can obtain nomination packs from the Elections Office. For more information about becoming a councillor, please email candidates@birmingham.gov.uk. Please note, the deadline to submit nomination papers to stand is 4pm on Friday 6 April 2018.
Due to the recent ward boundary changes, you may now be in a different ward, and vote at a different polling station to previous elections. Please check your poll card carefully.
You can find out more about the background of the boundary review and how the law was passed and agreed within Birmingham.
Further information about the election, including the timetable and who is standing in your area will be available here. Candidate information will be not available until after nomination period has closed (which is at 4pm on Friday 6 April)
