Pay your Gambling Act 2005 gaming machine permit annual fees
The first annual fee for the permit must be paid within 30 days of the initial grant date of the permit. Future annual fees will be payable on the anniversary of the permit coming into force (the effective date).
As part of our service improvements to make our services accessible online, we are now encouraging all annual fees to be paid online.
Having reviewed our processes, there is no legal requirement for the Licensing Authority to invoice and/or notify permit holders when their fee is due. Therefore, we will not write to you to remind you when to pay from 1 November 2023.
How to pay
Before making a payment, make sure that you have your permit number to hand. You will need this to complete your payment.
Pay online
You can pay online by debit or credit card.
You will need to sign into the portal with your BRUM account login details or register if you do not already have an account.
Under the Licensing menu you will find an option for Gambling Act 2005 where you can pay your annual fee for your permit. Make sure you select the correct permit or licence type from the list.
If you need assistance navigating the portal and paying your fee, we have created a user guide to help.
