Shaping Birmingham’s Future Together

Shaping Birmingham’s Future Together (SBFT) was announced by Councillor John Cotton, Leader of Birmingham City Council in March 2024, to establish a partnership supported by local companies, community groups and individual residents to support the development of Birmingham’s Future. The first milestone is the City Council’s Corporate Plan.

SBFT is committed to sharing power, recognising that the council cannot achieve its goals alone. Birmingham can achieve more together.
We invite your involvement by attending a workshop event or completing a survey. The council seeks to collaborate with residents and organisations across Birmingham.

Councillor John Cotton, Leader of Birmingham City Council said:

The days of the 'Council knows best' approach are well and truly over. Now we want to work collaboratively with partners and communities across Birmingham to tackle the big challenges that continue to hold far too many people across this city back. I want us to explore how, collectively, we can work better to create better public services and secure better outcomes for our city.
