What is meant by digital inclusion?
The definition of Digital Inclusion, according to a National Digital Inclusion Alliance refers to the activities necessary to ensure that all individuals and communities, have access to and use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
This includes 5 elements:
- strong and affordable, broadband and internet service
- internet accessible devices that meet the needs of users
- access to IT training
- quality technical support
- online content that encourages independent use of online platforms
