- Four offences relating to conditions at Jade Garden, 38A Bakers Lane, Sutton Coldfield. Food was not protected against contamination, cleaning cloths used for cleaning food preparation surfaces and equipment were stored around a sink area used to wash raw poultry. Open food items were stored uncovered in fridges. Food was being stored next to bins in the rear bin storeroom. Dirty cloths were being used to cover ready-to-eat salad, black bin bags were being used to cover open food and open food was stored in plastic carrier bags. The premises was not kept clean, equipment storage surfaces were dirty, fridge and hand contact points including taps, switches, sockets and equipment were dirty. There was a significant amount of damaged food equipment and food storage containers. The rim to the rice cooker was dirty with old food encrusted on it and sieves/colanders were rusty. There were no permanent procedures implemented based on HACCP principles.
