- Found guilty in absence of five offences relating to conditions found at Pad Thai Restaurant, 86 Holloway Head, Birmingham. The premises was not kept clean or well maintained, there were holes in the wall and ceiling, mould growth in the downstairs washing up area and equipment was poorly maintained. There was evidence of mice activity throughout the premises. Food was not covered to protect it from contamination. Chopping boards were dirty and heavily scored, a can opener was dirty and rusty, ice machine was dirty and food was stored in bin liners/refuse bins. There were no permanent procedures implemented based on HACCP principles and the Better Business pack on site was incomplete and predated the current ownership.
