The Birmingham Federation of Maintained Nursery Schools consist of nine Maintained Nursery Schools, each with individual personalities spread across south and central Birmingham. We are driven by our goal to secure excellent, responsive and creative early education for all children. Our schools offer high quality and inclusive early learning which, alongside the other Maintained Nursery Schools in the city, provide an important role in the development of all Birmingham's young children.
Each of our Maintained Nursery School's is long established and embedded within its community and will have welcomed many generations of the same family. Each has its own dedicated and experienced team led by qualified teachers. Each has its own individual style developed over many years working in the same community however all our Maintained Nursery Schools share a commitment and belief to delivering the best outcomes for all children regardless of who they are and where they come from; the child is always at the centre of our practice.
Some of our Maintained Nursery Schools offer places from birth - 4 years of age, others will offer places from when your child turns 2. We welcome funded children (2 year old early education entitlement; 3 year old educational entitlement; 3 year old additional funded hours for working families) as well as fee paying children. Some of our provision is term time only, but we also have year-round provision too.
