- Five offences relating to conditions at UK Fried Chicken, 204 Alum Rock Road, Birmingham. Cockroaches at all stages of their lifecycle were found in the premises. The premises was dirty and poorly maintained. Chopping boards were dirty and damaged and could no longer be effectively cleaned, clean knives were stored behind dirty pipework and a tin opener was stored next to dirty cleaning sponges. There were no permanent procedures implemented based on HACCP principles. No food handlers in the business, including the food business operator, had undergone any form of food hygiene training.
