Eight offences relating to conditions found at Simply Local, 84 New Street, Birmingham on two separate occasions. There were gaps and holes throughout the premises including a gap underneath the front door sufficient to allow the ingress of pests and mouse droppings were found throughout the premises. Food displayed for sale on shelving was found to have been gnawed by mice, a number of food items were found to be wet with mouse urine and contaminated by mouse droppings. Food items were found to be offered for sale past their use by date on both occasions. There were no permanent procedures implemented based on HACCP principles.
