There will be a temporary diversion to manage the volume of traffic entering Sutton New Hall Cemetery from 8.30am to 4.00pm on 24 December 2024. Please follow the diversion through Lindridge Road, Leigh Road and Springfield Road.
Cemetery opening times

Cemetery gates will be closing at 4.30pm from 1 August 2024.

  • 1 October to 31 March: 8:30am to 4:00pm
  • 1 April to 30 September: 8:30am to 4.30pm

 

Only medical and guide dogs are allowed in the grounds.

Office opening times
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 9am to 1pm
  • Wednesday: closed

Facilities
Access

There is vehicle access to the cemetery via the gate on Lindridge Road with a speed limit of 5mph.

During peak visiting times a one-way system to access the cemetery is in place.

You can gain entry to Lindridge Road via Springfield Road. A short diversion will be in place at Leigh Road.

These traffic control measures are planned for:

  • Mother’s Day
  • Eid al-Fitr
  • Father’s Day
  • Eid al-Adha
  • Christmas Eve

Fom 8.30am to 4.00pm on 24 December 2024, follow the diversion through Lindridge Road, Leigh Road and Springfield Road (shown in the map).

The road network allows access to all sections, but most roads are narrow. Consider other cemetery visitors when parking. Do not park on the grave sections or grassed areas. Park in the car park if you can.

There are disabled parking spaces by the office for blue badge holders.

Coaches are permitted inside the cemetery and should not be parked on Lindridge Road

Take care when walking along grave rows as the ground may be uneven and the grass can be slippery in wet weather.

There are ladies and gents toilets, and an accessible toilet (requires a radar key) next to the office.

Cemetery section maps are available in leaflet holders outside the office.

The cemetery office is wheelchair accessible.

Sutton New Hall Cemetery is served by the X4 Platinum bus from Leigh Road (5 minute walk).
