National Association of Virtual School Heads (NAVSH) exists to improve educational outcomes for looked after children by working with partners and commissioning research to ensure that the educational needs of looked after children are better understood.

The charity's objectives are:

• To advance education for current and previous looked after children and care leavers by undertaking research.
• To promote the care and education of current and previous looked after children and care leavers by educating and training those employed to provide care for looked after children.
