A royal signature can be found on this order to Sir John Fortescue, Master of the Great Wardrobe, to procure material for uniforms for the queen’s servants. It includes three yards of crimson velvet for their jerkins, six yards of woollen cloth for their tights, and 15 yards of linen cloth for their shirts.
